Have you ever been to the Ringling Brothers Circus?

We recently went to the Ringling Brothers Circus in Orlando, Florida! If you have never seen it, it is definitely something you need to visit at least once in your life. It is a complete experience! I have heard of other people saying they went to other circuses and found parts really not appropriate for smaller children (thongs showing ect). I have to say at the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Fully Charged, there was nothing inappropriate at all! Little man particularly loved the clowns and elephants and I loved the tight ropers! I was in complete awe of them!! It was a simply amazing performance, and honestly, I would have enjoyed it even if I did not have a small child! My Mom liked it just as much as I did. It was definitely something that EVERY age group can enjoy!! So, just to share! I loved it!

  1. We love the elephants. They were always our favorite part of the circus, but we cannot bring ourselves to go to the circus again. Our lifelong memories of the circus where shattered when we saw dozens of photos of Ringling Bros. trainers using a bullhook to hook, jab and an electric prod to shock their baby elephants to train them to perform unnatural circus acts. We love our family pets and cannot imagine allowing someone to abuse and beat them with a fireplace poker to make them perform tricks. We decided we were not going back until they drop the animal acts, that way we’ll know no animals are abused to entertain us. Ringling has assured the public that their baby elephants are being trained with food rewards, patience and love in these photos. A picture is worth a thousand words, videos leave no doubts.

Dr. Joyce Poole is a world renowned and respected expert on elephants. You can read her expert opinion about the behaviors the elephants are exhibiting in this video when they are being hit by Ringling trainers. She has been to Ringling’s Center for Elephant Conservation in Polk City, Florida and observed their facility. She noticed the concrete floors had groves in them, left by the elephant’s footprint from being constantly chained in one spot for 16 to 22 hours a day.

There is a lot more evidences available on the Internet of Ringling Bros Circus abusing their elephants behind the scenes. If you believe animals should be treated humanely please don’t promote circuses who use performing animals.
