Since we are having a new little bean, I am interested in trying out all sorts of baby wearing devices, and particularly wanted to try out a sling. I loved wearing my little man as a baby, but did not have a lot of luck with the sling I had back then. I recently heard of Hotslings and loved the design and concept- not to mention the great patterns! There is also simplicity to the design that I love! No more complicated sling placements!

I was lucky enough to receive Lemon Mist Sling. There was some debate on the sizing, since Hotslings offers two sizes…. and ended up being sent the Regular size since I am somewhere in that weird in between land. I am thinking it will be just perfect once bean is here, because I am still pregnant and think this is why I am measuring a bit larger…however, the regular sized sling fits just perfect for my dog! Okay, I know this is crazy but I read the other day the Hotslings are perfect for small pets, and since bean is not here yet to test it out, my lovely Chihuahua Layla was the lucky participant. Though she might look terrified she actually loved it, and loved being spoiled by her Mama….she is really quite the princess! Layla is about the size of a newborn, and I love how secure she felt next to me in this. I did not feel like she was unsupported at all, and in fact, she felt snug as a bug in a rug! I carried her around for a good half an hour, doing my home chores such as mopping, and dishes, and this worked out just fine…and we had a very happy doggy afterwards. I know if my shivery Chihuahua finds this comforting, then my newborn baby will as well! 

So, overall I love my Hotslings, and cannot wait till bean is here to try it out on a HUMAN baby and not the canine variety!
