I just received
dreaded news, I was told we have to supplement with my baby boy! Despite doing
everything in my power I am just not making enough milk to support a
significant gain with him. After a day of tears I realized that I had to do
what I have to do to have a healthy baby, so supplementing it is. I was
terrified about nipple confusion though, and soooo incredibly happy that I
happen to have Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Bottle on hand for review!! This neat little bottle is shaped
more like the breast so my little dude can easily go from nipple to bottle and
never get confused or forget how to properly latch! I am so thankful for the
Tommee Tippee bottles so that so that we can share our special breastfeeding
moments, even though I now have to offer formula and supplement!
Supplementing was not the happiest decision I have ever
made, but Tommee Tippee has made it much easier because we have no problems with his latch!
Nipple mimics natural feel, flex and movement of breastfeeding
Allows for easy transition between breast and bottle
Wide neck nipple for easier latch on
Anti-colic, anti-gas, advanced easi-vent™ valve
BPA & Phthalate Free
Graduations in mls and ounces
Hygiene Cap seals the nipple for travel
If you are faced with the decision like mine, I hope you
consider Tommee Tippee! It will definitely make supplementing easier!

It was really hard for me to find the perfect supplement bottle too! I just wanted one so I could get a night out with the husband and not worry. Thanks for the info on this one! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm blessed that we only had to supplement when I worked-which was two 12 hour days/month.
ReplyDeleteI both nurse and pump, and I absolutely love Tommee Tippee bottles! They are the closest thing I found to the real thing. I think it stinks that society has made moms feel bad when they supplement. At the end of the day, you are feeding your child and providing nutrients and that makes for a GREAT mom!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get this bottle? Our first is still on the way and I'm hoping to breastfeed exclusively, however, both mom and mother in law have been sharing stories of supplemental feedings, refusing to nurse, and not switching back after bottles. Nice to know there are options out there for new moms who want to try and stick with bf
