I am going to admit to you that my five year old son could work
on his manners. For the most part he is super sweet, but his table manners in
particular need help. Just because he is a boy does not mean he is exempt from
good manners in my opinion. This is the reason I agreed to review Kindness Kingdom, even though it is technically set up to cater to young ladies.
“Someone once said, "Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you - not because they are nice, but because you are." I so agree and hope you will join me in Kindness Kingdom where we will have so much fun making our way to the tea party, learning about manners as we go. You are invited!”
This game is set up very nicely. The goal being to make it
through the eight neighborhoods and collect a charm in each, you receive these
by answering questions about manners correctly. Some of these questions are very
easy, and some really require some thought. Because of this, the younger
players can simply name a manner associated with the neighborhood instead of
answering a question. I was THRILLED to know my little man got every single
question right. So, he knows the manners- he just has to learn how to use them!
The instructions took Mom and I a few minutes to learn the game (we are notorious for not figuring games out), but once we got the hang of it, the game was very simple to play! This game is made for 2-4 players aged 5 and up.

I believe good manners are a
must, and I plan on teaching my children proper manners every single day. I do love
Kindness Kingdom, but do wish that they would create a Kindness Kingdom boy’s edition
to teach wonderful things like holding the door open for strangers, and
allowing ladies to go first. Yes- maybe old school- but remember, we are in the
south and these things are expected. Overall, my son, Mom and I had a blast
playing this game- I think of it as a Candy Land for manners! We had lots of
giggles, and it was pretty funny when my Mom got a question wrong. In every
part of the game you encounter characters being kind. This is just another way
it teaches manners.
