Like most of us I try to eat healthy. I had gastric
bypass almost 3 years ago so it’s even more important to me that I eat good
food high in protein and low in carbs. I had the opportunity to review
diet-to-go and jumped at the chance.
Diet-to-Go is a meal plan. They ship your meals
directly to your house. Most meals are frozen while some snacks are fresh like
yogurt and juice.
When I received the box I dug into it right away. I
received a variety of items from asparagus and swiss frittata, turkey burger,
breakfast pizza to baked spaghetti pie.
I took the spaghetti pie to work which works out perfect
on the days that I only have a half hour lunch. I completely forgot to take a
picture of it. It was by far my favorite dish, though I am partial to pasta.
My least favorite was the mushroom strata but that’s
mainly because I’m not a huge mushroom fan. My husband tried it and he liked
it.
Overall it’s a great service. If I were buying for the whole family this would be too much for me financially but worth it if it was just for me. The portions are perfect and sometimes I even have extra for a snack
if I get hungry.
For those who are worried that everyone gets the
same, don’t be. You can substitute items for things that you like. Diet-to-go understands
that everyone is different as are everyone’s tastes. That part of the service
is really nice. Another thing I like is that even though you microwave the meal
it isn’t like most “microwave” meals that all taste the same. These are meals
that were made and just frozen. Just like you would freeze things at home.
Check out their site today, diettogo.com. Right now they are
running a special of 20% off your first order, so make sure you order soon.
