The Museum Tour website and catalog is the brainchild of a former museum director. As a former educator and president of the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, she recognized a need for enjoyable, easy to communicate teaching aides to assist parents in fulfilling their role as primary educators. After all, in every generation parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents have taken on the responsibility of insuring that the children become contributing members of society. But the training tools they used were found in the kitchen, garage, and farmyard. Today, to compete globally, we need modern props (that are rapidly changing) to assist our children's learning. The Museum Tour website and annual catalog make it easy for adults to create enjoyable learning opportunities for children beyond the museum and science center walls. Visit them today at www.MuseumTour.com.
Museum Tour was kind enough to send my little man the Mega Shark Teeth and Mega Specimen Kit. If you do not know that I have a fossil obsessed kid here, then you have not read much before this review. My little man is a dinosaur fantatic and can tell you EVERY single thing you ever wanted to know about fossils, teeth, dinosaurs and even the subject of dino embryos came up tonight. He eats up every piece of knowledge he can about large creatures such a dinosaurs and sharks.
"Megalodon was the largest shark to ever live (larger than T-Rex!). This incredible kit includes 5 real teeth from species such as: Tiger, Bull, Lemon, Ortodus, Sand Tiger, and Snaggletooth sharks. It also includes a full-size replica of one of the largest Megalodon shark teeth ever found. Identify and learn about each shark with the full color guide. If you really love sharks, you'll want to own a real Megalodon tooth specimen 2-3"My son thought the replica was super cool, and wished out loud that it was real so he could open his own museum. I think his happiness shows in the photo above! The book that came with it was super cool! We were able to identify each shark that the teeth came from, and my son had a blast coloring the pages, and insisted I let him do that right away! He pulls out this kit almost daily and brings it out every time we have company. He is THAT in love with it!
Museum Tour is a store after my sons own heart! It offers everything scientific that my little man loves, and even has detective kits! There are dinosaur items galore, and my little man is definitely going to find the Discover Amber kit under the tree this year!! If you have a child that is interested in all things educational and scientific, you should definitely take a look around!!
