Quest Protein Bar

Protein in one of the biggest things I need in my diet being a WLS patient. I have tried countless protein bars, some are better than others. I am always looking for a bar that doesn’t have that after taste. I contact Quest Bar to try them. They not only sent me a few, but sent me a TON.

I received their 15 flavors and also their peanut butter cups and 2 pastas. There were so many to try that I didn’t know where to start. I’m a huge peanut butter fan so I figured I’d start there. Well, I have to say it was good. No weird protein flavor, or after taste at all. The next one I tried was the Apple Pie. Now who doesn’t like apple pie right? I was a little hesitant thinking, how can you make a protein bar taste like pie? WOW, it was amazing. I had a friend Melissa over who is also a WLS patient and she tried it. It is by far my favorite of all their flavors and I tried all of them. On a side note, if any of my friends are reading this and wants to get me a Christmas present, I’ll give you a subtle hint APPLE PIE QUEST BAR!!

You’re probably wondering about the nutrition facts. I was to for sure, since being WLS I have to look at that very closely. The Apple Pie has only 170 Calories for the whole bar. 24 carbs with 18g being dietary fiber so just 6g of active carbs. 20g of protein and only 3g sugar. In my book that is amazing. The very first ingredient is a protein blend of Whey Protein Isolate and Milk Protein Isolate.

If you are looking for a protein bar that packs a ton of flavor with great ingredients, then Quest is the way to go. You can find them in major stores like Walmart, Vitamin Shoppe and GNC, and others. Check out their store locator for a store near you or even on Amazon.
