My husband is a big pop drinker or has he says it (sodapop). He mainly drinks one flavor but sometimes likes to have others on hand.SodaStream reached out for us to try their new Sourse machine. I of course said yes.

When the box arrived I barely knew it was here before Darin and Mya attacked it. They couldn’t wait to see the new design and try some new flavors.

The first thing I noticed about the Source is that it has a new sleeker design than the older models. I love that you just pop in the bottle rather than trying to fit it on and screw it in like before. It’s super easy. It has a LED light which indicates how much carbonation you want in your pop. You have the control of a little fizz, or a lot of fizz, depending on your taste.

The most asked question I get when friends come over and ask about it is… “does it taste the same?” My answer is for most of the flavors yes. Just like if you go to the store and buy the generic brand of pop, it tastes so close some people can’t tell the difference. Now with that said, there are some flavors that I can tell the difference but that’s ok. I don’t see anything wrong with that. The next question I get is… “are there lots of flavors?” Yes there are. We received a variety to try out. From Cola Free, to Ginger Ale, to Koolaid Fruit Punch flavors.  There are also water enhancer flavors as well. If you don’t see what you want in the store, there are so many more options online.

The 3^rd most asked question I get is.. “is it worth it?” That answer is two-fold. To me it really depends on how much pop you and your family drinks. If it’s only once in a while, then probably not. If you all drink pop and different flavors and a lot of it then probably it is. It saves a ton of space and you get to keep all your flavors on hand to drink whenever you want. If you go and buy a 2 liter bottle at the store and open it, you only have a few days and you have to drink it all. With SodaStream, you can make a small bottle or a 1 liter at a time.
