OtterBox Case for iPhone, iPad or iPod

If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch and kids, you really need to get an OtterBox. Heck, even if you don't have kids, you need one of these cases. True, I have never stood on my phone, like my child regularly does to the iPad mini, but I have put it thru the wringer. I've dropped it out of the car (and of course it tumbled right under to the farthest possible point so that I had to get down on my hands and knees in a grocery store parking lot to retrieve it!), dropped it into various crafts we were working on and slimed it up while taking pictures of recipe/meal prep. I once even dropped it in my oatmeal and still don't know how that happened.

My oldest son was given an iPod Touch 3rd gen that already had an Otterbox on it. He played with it for well over a year with zero issues. Mind you, he was 2 and 3 years old at the time, so he was less than gentle. He then inherited his Daddy's iPod Touch 4th gen. We went with a less expensive case and thought they were all created equal. This case was about half the price as the Otterbox but within days the screen was damaged. Needless to say, we got him an Otterbox and we haven't even thought about trying another case since.

We have so loved their products, that we have one for each of our five iDevices (no, I don't think that is an Apple approved word, but I am tired of typing them all out).

I'm not joking when I say my boys are rough our their iDevice. My toddler actually THROWS my mini. He is in that stage. Of course, I am trying to correct this habit, thankfully our devices are protected in the meantime.

Anyway, when my husband recently purchased an iPhone5, we naturally wanted an Otterbox. We got the Defender Series. We were able to customize the color and it comes with a holster clip.

You choose the inside and outside colors. As you can see, it comes in a few pieces, including a screen protector and snaps together fairly easy. It is durable without being too bulky. Our only suggestion for improvement, would be to thin out the front profile so that with the iOS7, you can pull up the menu from the bottom more easily. Otherwise we love, love, love our Otterbox cases.
