Escents Aromatherapy

Over the course of the last few years I have heard people talk about essential oils and how great they are. I did try one while I was pregnant to help with nausea but it didn’t really do anything for me. It probably helped tons but for me and pregnancy it didn’t do anything. Still I kept hearing about different types. I did try another one for a headache, and it was amazing. I came across Escents Aromatherapy and really wanted to try their line as they had a few things for my medical conditions.  So happy when they said yes to me.

They sent me three items, the first is for headaches and the other two are for arthritis and pain. Anyone that knows me knows that I have a lot of pain.

The headache oil is in the form of a roll-on. Which is fantastic since you just put it on like you would do a roll-on perfume. I have learned that a little goes a long with all essential oils. A few of the oils used for this are peppermint, lavender, blue chamomile and is blended with plant oils to deliver skin soothing pain relief. I get headaches almost daily so I have been using this a lot. It really does make a difference. I keep it in my purse so I can put some on quick at the onset of anything. It is so nice that I can put this on rather than taking any OTC medications.  It also has other areas it helps:   nausea, children's headaches, mental fatigue/concentration, stress/anxiety, colds/flu, muscle soreness/pain, joint sprains/strains, and asthma.

The second item I received was the Arthritis, muscle& joint pain. I have degenerative osteoarthritis in my hips along with bone spurs so if I find anything that may work I’m going to try it. It comes in the form of a gel and has a concentrated blend of Eucalyptus which is known for soothing pain, healing joints and muscle strains. It also has Cyrpress in it which is known for its wound healing and Confrey extract to nourish skin. When I put it on I made sure that it wasn’t in combination with any other meds I’m taking so I could really see if it helped. It seemed to help some. It didn’t take away all the pain, but at this point nothing does so anything that helps even some of the pain is a huge thumbs up in my book.

I seem to have my arthritis flare up more around temperature changes. Living in WI temperature changes can happen a few times a day, especially when winter is turning into spring. So the last item that was sent to me was Arnica and St John’s wort ointment. Arnica helps pull swelling out, like ice, and St. John's Wort calms inflamed tissue, with a concentrated blend of pure essential oils including Ginger, Black Pepper and Cinnamon that soothe on contact. On the first day I tried it, it didn’t seem to help but after trying it a few more days. It seemed to help a little more.

There are so many options for just about any aliment. Escents has very competitive prices. I suggest that you check them out to see if anything could help you.

  2. I have to look into this. My poor mom has neuralgia and other assorted pain problems, and lives on Vicodin and Percocet. I'd love for her to try some natural remedies, she takes SO many meds!!!!! You seem very knowledgable and I think I'd like to place an order with them. Thanks for the head's up - I know nothing works for EVERYONE, but I trust your reviews! : )
