Healthy Choices, Happy Kids

Every parent wants to raise a very kind and considerate child right? Personally I can’t think of anyone that set out to have kids that are rude and mean, and make the wrong choices. I was asked by the people from Healthy Choices, Happy Kids to take a look at their new book showing kids how to make the best choice that is coming out in May. I have 2 kids, so I thought it would be perfect for us.

Healthy Choices, Happy kids is packed full of short examples of how to make the right choice.

For example:

“Katie is sick.
Mom says ‘Katie, it is time for your medicine. What would you like to drink with it?’
Katie think, ‘I don’t want to take my medicine.’
She does not take it. Her fever gets worse and her head hurts more. She may have to go to the doctor to get better.
Why is Katie getting sicker?
Katie takes her medicine. The medicine helps Katie’s headache and fever go away. She wants to get out of bed now. She is ready to play
Katie likes to take medicine with apple juice or ginger ale. What about you?”

As you can see from the short example, the situations are carefully picked out so that kids can really understand them and relate to them. I think that’s one of the things I like most about this book is that kids can really relate.

Next month the book will be available in book stores, amazon and their website, so keep your eye out for it.
