Moms across the country and even some Hollywood moms
are committing to have family playtime this next Saturday May 10th.
I was to share a little about it with you.
Merck Consumer Care’s Active Family Project did a
national survey of families. The survey says that families average 5 family
playdates a month. This would be time reserved on the calendar where the whole
family participates in an activity together. Merck would like to see twice that
many per month. The Active Family Project is hosting their 2nd
Annual National Family Playdate on May 10th.
I’m sure you’re
wondering what National Family Playdate even is. It’s very simple. It pretty
much is asking families to just do something special on that day. One of our
favorite actresses Angie Harmon has committed to do something with her family
that day. You can see what she has
planned along with other celebrities at www.activefamilyproject.com or on their facebook
page. The site also has ideas for you, if you need some inspiration.
How
can you help, besides having a fun family day? Help
create more playplaces for families across America by visiting the Active
Family Project’s Facebook page starting April 28 and sharing one of their
Playdate-themed posts. Every post share will trigger a $1
donation to KaBOOM! (up to $15,000).
