State Farm Neighborhood Assist

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for State Farm. I received a promotional item to thank me for participating.

I was asked to spread the word about this year’s State Farm Neighborhood Assist. Of course I was more than happy to talk about a great program that was created to help people.

State Farm Neighborhood Assist is a youth-led philanthropic program that empowers individuals of all ages to identify the issues they feel are the most important to their communities. The State Farm Youth Advisory Board, a diverse group of 30 students who are passionate about social responsibility, manages the program and reviewed each of the 4,000 cause submissions selecting the top 200 finalists using a scoring criterion they created. The 200 finalists now move on to a public vote with the nonprofits of the top 40 vote receiving causes receiving a $25,000 grant.”

I looked up my state and saw that there were a few that were looking to start a community garden, safety and education. State Farm is trying to help as many groups as possible give back to their community. It is so awesome to see so many people rally together to help others. We don’t have any finalists in my town, and that’s ok. IF there were one I would love to see update of our library. In my family we give back by helping a lot in our church. Lots of times people don’t think they are doing enough. My thoughts are, as long as you make a difference to even one person, it’s worth it.
Have you ever wanted to start a charity or program? If so what are ideas and goals? What do you think it would take to make those dreams happen?

I really do think that the State Farm NeighborhoodAssist Program is amazing. Now it’s the part where I need your help. It’s really simple. I just need you to go to this facebook link and vote. Take a look at the programs out there and vote for the one you would like to receive a $25,000 grant. You have 10 votes per day and can vote until 5/17. Please share with friends and family and have them vote too. Lets’ all work together and make some dreams come true and make good changes in our communities.
