Sprint Kyocera Hydri Vibe Smartphone

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting #MC for Sprint. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and to thank me for participating.
I am very happy to announce that I am now a Sprint Ambassador. Over the course of the next year I will be testing Sprint's devices and service plans. I will be giving you my honest opinion of Sprint and their service.

The second phone that we received as part of Sprint’s program is the Kyocera Hydro Vibe waterproof 4G LTE smartphone. I have to say, my oldest daughter is pretty lucky to try out this phone.

I think the coolest and best feature is that it is waterproof. I’m not saying you can take it diving in the ocean or anything, but it is great for just dropping in the sink or likewise. You can have the phone Immersible for up to 30 minutes in up to 3. I luckily have never dropped my phone in water (knock on wood) but I know my friends have and family members. So from observation I know the agony that happens. Having a phone that will be ok when drooped in the water is pretty cool.

Other features:

  • 14 hours talk time
  • 8MP rear camera
  • 4.5” qHD display
  • 5.29oz
  • battery 2000 mAh
  • Micro SD card slot

The Hydro Vibe is easy to use and navigate. My 11 year old had no problems with anything. Using her microsoft ID, she was able to login and it downloaded all her apps automatically which is nice. It’s a huge hassle when you have to go and search everything and download in. We haven’t had any dropped calls and internet speed is fast and reliable.

Overall it is a Mya approved phone. She doesn’t want to let it go, but is looking forward to the next device to try out.
