Barbecue Party Game

My kids are like other kids and love playing games. Sometimes they prefer the electronic video game but there are times when a good board game is so much more fun. I had the chance to take a look at a game called Barbecue Party Game. It was perfect timing to try it since we had a few kids over.

Before you start the game you need to put all the fun stickers on the pieces. Mya and her friends had fun doing that. Once all the stickers are on you are good to go and can start playing the game. I do want to mention that you do need at least 2 players. There is a warning because of small parts to be careful with children under 3 and it’s for ages 4 and up. The game comes with one grill, 16 foods items, 18 cards and one pair of tongs.

“Veggies to grill, and some chicken and hot dogs too! But to win you need 3 of each.
Pick a card, it will tell you what you need to grill next.
When you pick that card again, it means that it is ready and you need to remove it…
BUT… you better be careful, because this friendly barbeque doesn’t like to be tickled… One false move and BOOOMMM and your meal will be late!"

You never know when the food is going to “jump” , so it makes it really fun like who is going to get caught with the jumping food. We had a ton of fun playing it as it was different from other games that we have. Very simple concept and lots of fun. Mya later had kids her own age over (11ish) and they wanted to play it. So you can see it’s not just for little kids.

Even though Fallon is only 2, she wanted to “play” I made sure she didn’t walk off with any parts and stayed next to me the whole time. I think she just wanted to be apart of everything.

The Barbecue Party Game can be found at Toys R us, Walmart and also Amazon. This would be a great birthday gift for a kid who loves games.
