As a self proclaimed product junkie, I love trying out the latest trends and styles! As a Mom, I often find it hard to find the time to do this though! I do not have hours to scroll through the internet in search of the latest and greatest looks but when it comes handed to me on a silver platter, I am a happy camper! Recently, Mary Kay did just this and sent me and email about their "smokey emerald" look and even sent a drawing of exactly how this look is applied. They completed this with a video link that taught me how to achieve this look! This video so seamlessly explained the look to me that I accomplished it in less than 10 minutes after watching! 

The tips I received were: 

EYES

For high-impact, wearable color, layer three shades of green eye color over a cream eye color base.

·         Apply Mary Kay® Cream Eye Color in Meadow Grass as a base and sweep Mary Kay® Mineral Eye Color in Emerald on the outer halves of eyelids to enhance the color.

·         Brighten eyes by layering Mary Kay® Mineral Eye Color in Lime onto the inner thirds of eyelids.

·         To add drama, apply Mary Kay® Eyeliner in Black along the top and bottom lash lines, blending outwards toward the corners of the eyes.

·         Generously apply Mary Kay® Lash Love® Lengthening™ Mascara in Black to the top and bottom lashes.

LIPS

Balance bright green smoky eyes with well-defined dark lips. 

·         To perfect your unique lip shape, use Mary Kay® Lip Liner in Cappuccino before and after applying lipstick!

·         Use Mary Kay® True Dimensions Lipstick in Mystic Plum directly from the tube for best results.

·         TIP: Use a cream eye shadow brush dipped in a little foundation to clean up the edges of your lips.

FACE

When sporting bold eyes and lips, keep the rest of your makeup simple.

·         Use your fingertips or a clean Mary Kay® Liquid Foundation Brush to blend Mary Kay® Cream Blush in Cranberry on the apples of cheeks.

·         TIP: For the perfect fall shade, blend the blush with a tiny bit of foundation to let the color’s intensity build!

As you can see, I created many looks using these products! The complete Smokey Emerald look is amazing, but I find it a bit much for my typical day to day life of running to the grocery, church and working as a pediatric nurse so I often opt to wear "one of the other." I really love to wear the Emerald Eye most often, because like the video says, it does allow my blue eyes to "pop!" I love the deep Plum Lip as well though, and love to throw that on when I am keeping my eye makeup a little more simple!!

As always I am 100% amazed with all the products that I received. Mary Kay offers phenomenal beauty products and this look is a new favorite of mine!
