Dorm Room Must haves

Now that school has been in session for a few weeks, everyone is getting used to their new routines. I think college is one of the biggest changes for kids. I remember dorms and they are not much bigger than a normal bedroom and you have 2 people living in them. I was looking around and came up with a few things that college kids should have in their dorms.

most people like the scent of candles, especially girls. Throw in jewelry inside the candle and you have a hit. That is exactly what Diamond Candles did. They wrap a ring in tinfoil and place it in the wax. As you burn the candle you get closer to your prize. The ring can value anywhere from $10-$5,000 and you won’t know until you see the ring.

I was lucky and my ring was near the top.  I don’t know exactly how much my ring is worth, but after looking at Diamond Candle’s website I would say it’s around the $10 mark. I don’t mind, it’s really cute and I know my girls will love to play with it.

Not only do you get prizes but the scents are really great. I got the Caramel Apple Cider. I have it lit on top of my fireplace and it smells so good. I can imagine that it would make a dorm room smell great in no time.

If your dorm room has a rule for no candles (some still do), I recommend getting an air freshener that plugs in. AirWick has a great assortment, found at nearly every store and are very affordable. The scent I received, I put in my half bathroom for obvious reasons. I do have to say that it does help the smell in there.

It is a little overpowering at first, but we do keep the door closed to that bathroom and it is a small one, so i’m sure that makes a huge difference. After a few days it was a lot better when I would open the door.

I do have to be careful as i’m am tending to be allergic to some scents. So far I haven’t had any reaction to AirWick.

Are your kids already coming home to do laundry so they don’t have to use a laundry mat? Here are some great products that your kids must check out as they are very affordable, thus making less trips to use your laundry room

I haven’t used Snuggle in a long time, but i’m really glad i’m giving them another chance. It’s great that the boosters come pre-measured and I can throw them right in the wash and know everything will come out smelling fantastic.  I love Lavender and was really happy to find out that is one of the new scents along with Blue Iris Bliss. After being washed my clothes smelled so good, I couldn’t wait to wear them.

all free clear dryer sheets are awesome. Fallon has sensitive skin but really has no reaction to these dryer sheets every since we started using them. It also helps that they smell really good when you grab them from the box.  They are hypoallergenic and 100% free of perfumes and dyes. When used together with all® free clear detergent, fabrics will be clean, soft and comfortable against sensitive skin.

I never really used fabric softener (i guess I should have been) all free has been is the #1 detergent brand recommended by Dermatologists for sensitive skin, is hypoallergenic and 100% free of perfumes and dyes.  I need to get used to how much to use, but after that I think I will be using this from now on as part of my laundry routine.

I’m not very hard on my clothes, but my 2 year old is always spilling on her clothes or just plain getting them dirty.  We just got a new HE washing machine so i’m still getting used to how much detergent to use. Having all pre-measure it for me is a total time saver since I still don’t really know how much to use.

Mighty Pacs OXI detergent gets out the toughest stains better than the leading value detergent. Each formula features in-wash pre-treaters, plus active stainlifters™ and fresh, clean scents. I think the biggest plus to this product is that the price comes out to be only 17 cents a load. It would be pretty hard to get much lower than that and not risk product  quality.

Rohto is a product that I hadn’t heard of before, but i’m glad I have.  Rohto helps relieve redness of the eye due to irritations. There are many days I am up late working on the blog, other work or just playing online. My eyes get tired and sore, I rub my eyes and then they are irritated. Rohto helps cool your eyes. I really wish I had this for when I was in college and up late writing papers and designing. The eye drops are super affordable and they have many kinds you need for your particular needs. You can find Rohto at your local Walgreens, Walmart, CVS and many more.

You can find all these products besides the Diamond Candle at pretty much any big box store and grocery stores. Check them out today for yourself and also for those college kids of yours.
