Win a Kids Book Title from Regnery Kids!

To me, The Peanuts mean it is holiday time, so when I was offered three new Peanuts Collections books to review I jumped at the chance to share my childhood love with my boys!

I was lucky enough to be sent three new titles from Regnery Kids:
  • What's the Big Idea, Charlie Brown?
  • Who Cares, Charlie Brown?
  • Where Did You Go, Charlie Brown?
What's the Big Idea, Charlie Brown?
"Charlie Brown and his friends are throwing a party to celebrate great inventions! To prepare for the party, everyone in the Peanuts gang is coming up with a favorite “big idea” from history. But Charlie Brown has a problem: he can’t think of any big ideas! Rediscover history’s great inventions—and learn about a very important inventor you’ve never even heard of before—in this fun and enlightening new Peanuts story. "

I love that this book is both fun and educational. I did find that it was a little over my toddler's head and definitely a book that my older son and I could enjoy much better together! I love that it names great inventors and inventions throughout time.

Who Cares, Charlie Brown?
"Charlie Brown and his friends are hitting the baseball field for a long day of fun in the sun! But the game turns into something more when the Peanuts gang starts learning about the many men and women who changed the course of history by helping their fellow humans. This touching ode to some of the world’s great humanitarian heroes—including one forgotten hero who helped little kids!—will warm hearts and inspire."

This is definitely my favorite book in the set because it teaches my children one of my favorite things to teach, to give of themselves and to help others. This amazing book helps me teach my sons amazing people who helped others all across time, and opens a dialogue up between us about what is is to give of ones self and to be caring and compassionate.

Where Did You Go, Charlie Brown?
"Charlie Brown and his friends are embarking on a day of adventures! As the Peanuts gang explores the outdoors, the kids decide to reenact the feats of great explorers they learned about in school. Retrace the remarkable journeys of men and women who tread new ground—including one woman you’ve never heard of before—in this exciting new Peanuts adventure. "
I tell my boys they can do anything they want to and be anything they want to be, and this book just drives home that point with them! We are able to talk about those who paved the way for todays entrepreneurs  and give my very entrepreneurial seven year old hope that he can create his own empire someday.

I love these books! They bring back warm and fuzzies for me, and let me know that the holidays are fast approaching! They make the perfect stocking stuffers, or even the perfect Christmas Eve Gift. Imagine snuggling up together with new jammies and chocolate milk and reading these books together! You can purchase one or all through Regnery Kids for 16.99 each for a hard back book!
