Febreze Holiday and Cinnamon Sugar Slow Cooker Almonda

I live in Wisconsin, so it’s winter about 9 months out of the year, or at least it feels like it. We actually already got our first bit of snow just a few days ago. Thank goodness it didn’t stay as I really don’t like snow. Yes, I know, I live in the wrong state to not like snow. Anyway, Febreze sent me their holiday collection to try out. It was perfect timing as my fall plug ins were just about gone.

Apple pie is my favorite kind of pie (second I think is pumpkin), so when I think of the holidays I think apple pie. Luckily one of the scents Febreze has for this collection is Apple Tart. I know it’s not exactly apple pie, but so close that it counts for me.

I love that each scent has all the options, from the plug in (for the home), to the car and even the spray for the ait. When you scary it doesn’t just smell good, it also really eliminates odors. That’s way better than just covering it up like some do.

Besides Apple Tart the other scents for the holiday season are: Sugared Cranberry, Toasted Almond, Frosted Pine, and Vanilla Latte. You can find them all at your local Walmart for a great price no matter which option you pick.

In honor of the holiday collection, I decided to make Cinnamon roasted Almonds. I have never made before, but they sounded perfect for winter. Have you ever made them? If so please share how they turned out or if you have an ingredient that is a must use or even a tip so they turn out perfect every time. This is how I made them.

Cinnamon & Sugar Slow Cooker Almonds

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds whole almonds
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • non stick cooking spray

Directions

  1. Combine sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl, mix and set aside.
  2. in a separate bowl, combine egg whites, vanilla and whisk it. Whisk until it is frothy which would take about one minute.
  3. add the almonds in the egg mixture and stir until all the almonds are covered.
  4. pour the sugar mixture and stir. make sure all the almonds are completely covered.
  5. spray the slow cooker with non stick spray and pour the almonds in
  6. cook on low for 2 hours and stir every 20-30 minutes
  7. Once done cooking, pour onto parchment paper and allow to cool.

Then enjoy
