Ozobot- Awesome Gift Idea for the Younger "Techie" in Your Life! Win Yours!

I have a very science minded little boy! Some of his favorite things to do (besides video games) is science experiments! So, when I was contacted to review the Ozobot, I knew it would be something that he would LOVE! Another thing my son loves is dancing! One of his greatest thrills in life is putting on Kidz Bop and dancing the day away. Combine a FUN robot and dancing, and you have a gadget he LOVES!

Priced at only $49.99, it makes the perfect gift for the science minded kid in your life! Online shoppers can find these tiny robots in time for the holidays from Ozobot.combrookstone.commomastore.org and amazon.com.  My son is only seven and this neat little ozobot is meant for children 13+ because it teaches basic programming concepts, so we play with this little guy with him to avoid all frustration!

How does this work? Well...its quite simple. You just start with a piece of white paper and thicker pointed red, green, black and blue markers and draw. The Ozobot will not move unless at least one of the five sensor bars "sees" a color. Unless you put a code in place, the Ozobot will randomly choose which way to go if it hits an intersection. There are also three apps you can install which are Ozodraw, Ozopath, and Ozoluck which are all free to download on android and i0s devices. These apps are not compatible with some devices though.

OZODRAW
An exploration game
An exploration game. Push the limits as you explore Ozobot’s color language while creating intricate patterns and designs.

OZOPATH
A strategy game
A modern day game of chance. Watch Ozobot cruise through mazes and customizable exits to decide your fate.

OZOLUCK
A game of chance
Multiple social games of chance where Ozobot decides your fate.

I am not really sure who has enjoyed our Ozobot better, my husband or my son! This little guy is so much fun to watch and play with and the apps are incredibly cool! We have spent many hours just watching him go, and tweaking certain codes (which I will admit has taken us a while to get the hang of.) For only $49.99, I just do not think you can go wrong with this! Since he can follows thousands of commands and remember and play back up to 500, we have many, many more hours of fun in store for this little guy!  We love that a few of the games available on the download are multi-player so we can play together and interact more as a family! Overall, I give the Ozobot a great ranking because it is fun and is something completely different than what we are used to. Be sure to check out Ozobot on facebook to stay up to date with the latest downloads available!
