Win Your Choice of Oil Diffuser Necklace from Color Me Joyful!

I LOVE essential oils. That's not a shocker, right? Since I love my oils so very much, it should come as no surprise to you that I am constantly looking for a new way to use them. Of course I use a diffuser at home, and I often wear oils on my pulse points, but when I heard about a diffuser necklaces, I just knew I had to have one. It combines my favorite things: jewelry and essential oils! I recently had the pleasure of talking with Megan over at Color Me Joyful and she generously sent me THREE beautiful necklaces to review. Megan does such beautiful work that I had a hard time deciding. So she sent me my choice, her favorite piece and also a heart necklace since it is Valentine's Day soon!

My choice was the He is Risen pearl necklace. We go to church on a regular basis, and I have to admit, sometimes my mind wanders during the sermon. During those times, I often find myself pulling out my bottle of Frankincense oil and rubbing it between my fingers and smelling to for clarity.  Now, I no longer have to do that because with the necklace, I have a light scent of the oil for many, many hours. I love the added cross tab and pearl on this necklace. It makes it the perfect "church necklace" for me!!

Megan's favorite is the Nara Antique Brass / Bronze with Turquoise. This stunning necklace makes any "plain" outfit pop! I just love the bright bold color of the beads, and as Megan said to me, pictures just do not do it justice! Turquoise goes with almost any outfit and really dresses it up.

Last but not least, the Pearl Silver Simply Love Necklace. This necklace is very simple, but elegant too! It works perfectly for me on the days that I am feeling a little more casual but still want the benefit of the essential oil necklace. I find myself grabbing this quite often, and wearing it with my peppermint oil for a little "pick me up" throughout the day. It is PERFECT for Valentine's Day, so gentleman, take note! This is an AFFORDABLE, classy piece for your lady. 

Each necklace comes with 3 felt wool necklaces, and Megan explains why she uses Wool best:

"Why felt? We use 100% natural, needle felted wool for our diffuser necklaces. It is in it's natural state and is not treated in any way and is not dyed. This is important because leather and felt that is dyed or treated and washed with chemicals will, of course have a chemical residue...and when you add essential oils to anything that has chemicals, the oils will interact with the chemicals, changing the scent of the oil, and releasing the chemicals from the fabric...so you are not only breathing in the essential oils, but also the chemicals...and nobody wants that. yuck. The wool felt circles we use hold the scent beautifully and it lasts for days. They can be washed out if needed and a total of 3 felt circles are included with your necklace"

Now, you might wonder just how well a diffusing necklace works. I know I was curious too, so here is the real review for you! I applied about 3 drops of whichever oil I need to the pads and closed it in the locket. Immediately, I am able to smell a light aroma from the oil. This scent is not at all overwhelming but it is definitely there, and lasts for hours. The longest I have worn a necklace in one day was about 5 hours, and the scent was still very noticeable at that point.  Since the scent is not extremely powerful (after all it is on a tiny pad close to a foot away from your heart) I just lift the locket up to my nose and have a good inhale when I really feel the need for strong therapeutic benefits. Overall, I am extremely impressed with the necklaces I received. They are stunning and work very well for the benefits of the oils. Today, I am going to the grocery store so I think I will be wearing some calming oils when I go!!
