16GB OTG USB Flash Drive

I myself have an iphone 6plus, but the rest of my family are android users on both phones and tablets. I find myself putting new movies and such on their micro SD cards all the time and with some of the phones they don’t make it easy to take in and out. I recently had a chance to try an Onite OTG USB flash drive. I had never tried one like it, so it really peaked my interest.

The Onite USB drive is really simple actually, one end is a regular USB and the other a micro to fit a phone micro port. In order to test it, I tried it on my daughters tablet after I transfered various files from my computer. I wanted to see if it would read all kinds like photos, documents, movies, PDF etc. Luckily it did. She even took it to school with her since she had a project due and wanted to work on it a little during after school care (she’s 12).

16GB is a lot of space if you are using it for simple data like pics or documents. It is not enough if you want a lot of movies on it, but an easy fix is to just switch the movies out once in awhile to keep it fresh. If you do want it for movies, you can order the 32gb instead.

Price wise, $16.96 on Amazon and free shipping with Prime. That price is very comparable to many regular USB drives, that don’t even have the added bonus of being able to use it on a mobile device.

The Onite is limited to devices that use OTG, so please make sure your device can handle that before you order it. Some of the devices that support it are:

Samsung Galaxy S4, S3, S2

Galaxy Note, Note 2, 3

Galaxy Tab 3

LG Optimus G, G2

Nexus 4 5

and more.
