Rosea Regale Wine and the Perfect Glass to Pair it With

I try wines once in awhile, but haven’t really found one that I really like. Recently, I was asked to try a bottle of Rosa Regale sparkling red wine. I figured why not, I may like this one. I don’t remember having tried a sparkling wine before, so I didn’t really know what to expect.

I will start off by saying, I really wish the bottle was a bit bigger, and it was that good. My husband and I decided to make a nice dinner and drink the wine with that, instead of hey lets just open it and try it.  We ended up making fried rice and orange chicken (not even take out). To me it didn't seem like I was really drinking wine. To me other wines tasted so bitter, but this was very sweet.

“Rosa Regale is created in one of Italy's smallest production zones, the Brachetto d'Acqui Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita, commonly referred to as DOCG. It is crafted from 100% Brachetto grapes grown exclusively at the La Rosa Vineyard in the town of Acqui Terme located in the Piedmont region of Italy.”

If you are interested in doing a cocktail with this wine you can instead of drinking it straight. Rosa Regale has put together some really great recipes for cocktails that I think everyone should check out. They could come in handy if you are having a party.  

A bottle costs around $20 each, so it may be a little higher than some, but to me it is well worth the cost especially for a special occasion like Mother’s Day. My mom drinks win, so I know what I will be getting her as part of her gift basket. I think she will love it and it will make for a great center piece. I looked on their location finder and didn't see it being sold near me, but when I called the store, they do. I suggest you look and see, but even if it isn't listed your local store still may carry it.

Whenever you drink wine, you need a wine glass right? Most of the time we aren’t very serious in our house, so a funny wine glass is a perfect fit for us. The one I received was called “What Night?”. There are three lines; the first saying “good night”, then “great night” and lastly, “what night”. I found the glass to be very well made and it makes for a great conversation piece. I shared a picture of it to a few of my friends and they just loved it. It’s a little pricey at $14.95 on Amazon, but it is worth it. If you are doing a gift basket for Mother’s Day like I am with the wine it will be a great addition.
