Who doesn’t love watching movies about animals right? Disney’s new Monkey Kingdom looks so cute! It follows Maya and her family. What makes this movie even more awesome is that it’s about real animals and their real lives. PLUS, if you go see Monkey Kingdom opening weekend (April 17th-23rd) Disney will make a donation in your name to Conservation International to help protect monkeys and other endangered species in their natural habitats.
Story Synopsis
Life is an adventure for Maya, the clever and resourceful monkey in Disneynature’s new feature film “Monkey Kingdom,” which hits theaters in April, celebrating Earth Day. Set among ancient ruins in the storied jungles of South Asia, “Monkey Kingdom” capitalizes on its stunning environment. “It’s a fabulously atmospheric location,” says director Mark Linfield. “Ruins of a grand city that ruled Sri Lanka a thousand years ago still stand— and now these monkeys call it home—only to them it’s a giant playground.”
