#FindYourBOLD at the Dinner Table with the help of Ore-lda

I grew up in a home where we all sat at the dinner table at night and ate together. It was great, we all talked and usually it was a good time. Let’s fast forward a few years (i’m still in denial that i’m 31, so we will just go with a few), where I’m married, have a 12 year old and a 2.5 year old. We should sit down and have meals together more often than we do. On the flip side of it, we do often eat together, but it’s usually while watching TV in the living room, yea I know it’s not the same.

I was asked by Ore-Ida to add BOLD to our dinner times and to #FindYourBOLD. So with that little nudge, I put together a family dinner. Since we have a small family, we decided to make it even better with 2 of my best friends. It really isn’t a fun time without them.

For our dinner, we made steaks (with my secret rub), bbq chicken along with green beans, strawberries, watermellon and of course the main dish being Ore-lda’s Garlic & Pepper Steakhouse Fries. For me cooking a meal, that’s pretty good. This was the first time I was trying the new Ore-lda Bold & Crispy fries. If you haven’t tried them yet, you are missing out! They were so good. Thinking about it, I really should have bought more as we ran out really fast. No need to add extra seasoning or anything, they are perfect the way they are and dipped into a mix of ketchup and mustard makes them a little bit better!!!

The meal was great and a nice change of pace to just sit, talk, laugh with friends and my family. My daughter is 12 so she is going through all those, I don’t want to be around my family, I want to be in my room, don’t talk to me phases. To have her laughing with us and having fun was great. Mya has her school play tonight (april 24th), so she was happy to talk to us about her parts and how she is ready for it all.

If you are a parent out there looking to add some bold conversation to your dinner table, I would suggest checking out Ore-Ida's #FindYourBold Pinterest board for conversation starters, too (there really are some great ideas on there). So overall, the night was a success thanks to the help of Ore-lda. Before I forget, I have a coupon to share with you. $1 off your purchase of the Ore-lda Bold & Crispy fries!!! Talk about a great coupon! so print that off and #FindYourBOLD meal!!!!

  1. I have never tried the bold and crispy fries, but I do love to buy Ore Ida tater-tots. I use them to make a casserole that the whole family loves.
