My Family Care: Affordable virtual healcare

I swear everyone is talking about virtual healthcare and how great it is. I myself spend way too much time at the dr’s office. For those who have thought about virtual care, I would check out My Family Care.

I’m sure your first question, is what exactly is My Family Care? They can probably explain it way better than I can. “My Family Care Plans provides access to top quality, cost-effective medical care and health care savings, wherever and whenever you need it. Our doctor consultation service, My MD Access, is a network of U.S. board-certified doctors who are available to resolve your medical issues by phone or via online video, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our doctors can diagnose, recommend treatment and write non-DEA controlled prescriptions to be picked up at a pharmacy near you. So whether you’re traveling, too sick to get out of bed or can’t take off work you’ll still have access to dependable healthcare.”

As you can see, these are real doctors that you will be talking to. They really just want to make everything cost-effective.

There have been so many times that I have wanted to call my Dr’s office and just ask for something simple but have to go in for it. Going into the dr’s office can be very very expensive, especially if you feel you don’t really need to be “seen”. I do want to say that if you have something serious going on, by all means you should probably go in, but for minor things My Family Care may be the right fit for you. The other part that I think is AMAZING, is that My Family Care is open 24/7, yes you read that right 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That means you don’t have to rush around to fit into the normal 8-4 time span.

You are probably wondering what illnesses you can go to My Family Care for. I was surprised on the wide range, and think it’s fantastic.
  • Allergies
  • Bronchitis
  • Poison ivy
  • Pink eye
  • Sinus problems
  • Ear infection
  • Respiratory infection
  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Urinary tract infection
  • And more!

What medication can these Dr’s prescribe? That was a big question that I had. Here are some of the medications:

  • Amoxicillin TM
  • AugmentinTM
  • PrednisoneTM
  • AzithromycinTM
  • Bactrim DSTM
  • Tessalon PerlesTM
  • CiproTM
  • DiflucanTM
  • PyridiumTM
  • Flonase Nasal SprayT

Please note that My Family Care Plan is NOT insurance, but merely a way to receive care quickly and cost less at the same time. You will be charged monthly based on which plan you chose with them. There are three plans available with all different services. This way you can chose which one works better for you.

If you feel that My Family Care is a great fit for you, I encourage you to check their website out and see for yourself.

  1. This sounds like a good option. I hate having to go to the doctor for little things. It does seem cost effective. I am going to check it out.
