Olaf-A-Lot and Frozen Olaf Snow Cone Maker

I received an Olaf-A-Lot and Frozen Olaf Snow Cone Maker for the purpose of this review. This post was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own.

Spring is definitely here and summer is just around the corner. I have a 2 year old and a 12 so the movie frozen has been played a time or two in my house. My girl’s favorite character is Olaf, so when I got the opportunity to review an Olaf toy and also an Olaf snow cone maker from JAKKS Pacific, I knew my kids would love the, so there was no saying no to these.

My youngest daughter Fallon saw the Olaf-A-lot and “had” to have him right away. She didn’t even want to it for me to take him out of the box. I do have to say, that he is really cute. Just like in the movie, Olaf’s head can come off. This was one thing my youngest didn’t know. She thought she broke him when his head fell off the first time. Luckily, I was right there and able to fix things and make her happy again.

We all know Olaf talks a lot in the movie, so of course his toy is going to talk a lot as well. Olaf-A-Lot has over 50 sayings. He says things like “for you, I’d fall to pieces anytime” and if you press Olaf’s nose in he’ll tell you a joke like this one. “What did the snowman say to the store customer?” Then, when kids quickly push in his nose again, Olaf will deliver the punchline, which in this case is, “Have an ICE day!” Yes some of the jokes and saying are pretty corny, but I still laughed at them. I mean, it’s Olaf, how can someone NOT laugh.

You can find this Olaf toy at JAKKS and is about $24.99, and is intended for 3+. My daughter is 2.5 and she loved it.

The second Olaf product JAKKS sent us was a snow cone maker. My oldest has been bugging me for a long time about getting a snow cone maker. It’s probably one of her favorite things to get at the fair. So she wanted one that she could have year round (can’t blame her, they are pretty awesome).

Once the machine is put together all you need are some ice cubes and crank the handle so it can make the snow. Super easy!!! The kit includes a small bowl and spoon along with one flavor bottle, and 2 packets of sugar free flavors. When it comes to snow cones there is no rule on how much or how little syrup you have to put on it, so make it to what you want. It comes with flavor packets to get you started. I will probably end up buying a few more bottles so we can have more than one at a time.

For $24.99, this is an awesome gift that I’m sure every kid would love. I know mine do and Fallon wanted a few bowls full. They are small bowls, so I didn’t have a problem, plus it was really fun seeing her get so excited over a simple snow comes.

  3. I definitely imagine this breaking after one summer of use but it's totally cute! The kids get bored after the first year anyways, so if it does break. oh well! I have yet to try it but I saw someone make snow cones using capri-sun as the flavor/ syrup. I wonder how it would actually work out.
