Noah's Ark- America's Largest Waterpark

A couple weeks ago we (myself, my 12 year old daughter, my best friend and his son) all had the opportunity to visit Noah’s Ark. If you haven’t heard of it, you are in for a huge treat. It’s the largest outdoor waterpark and one of the must see attractions in Wisconsin. It was so kind of then to host us for the day. Noah’s Ark is located in Wisconsin Dells, WI. The Dells is the hub of outdoor waterparks and there aren’t any shortages of them there. Noah’s Ark is one of the best though.

When we got there, we were greeted by Greg who gave us a short tour and escorted us to our private cabana so we could get all set up and then let us enjoy the rest of our day. I’ll start with the cabana. If you have the extra funds (they are a little pricey) you really must get the premium cabana. You not only get shade, you get a lock box, mini fridge, table/chairs to eat at plus 4 lounge chairs. Not only that, but you get a really cute gift bag with a couple towels and keys for a locker if you need. You also have a staff member that will come take your drink orders or food whenever you want. If you want an adult beverage, just ask. They can bring you anything from the bar. I ordered a margarita and it was so good. If they are busy, you may have to wait a little while, but it’s worth the wait.

I myself had to stay inside the cabana most of the day due to my health issues and not being about to really walk around. The rest of my crew on the other hand were able to run all over the park and they did. Since our cabana was by one of the wave pools they started out there which allowed Canon (7 years old) to get used to the water a little. We all loved it, Canon wanted to go deeper and deeper into the water, especially during the waves. After that they were off to enjoy the rides.

Every time they came back to the cabana it was to rest for a minute, get a drink of water, a bit to eat and then off for more fun. It was so fun seeing them all so excited to explore. Since they did have Canon with and Mya (age 12 who doesn’t like alone rides), they stuck to a of of the group rides. They all said that their favorite was the flash flood. I lost count how many times they ended up going on that ride. Otherwise they also loved doing the Congo Bongo and the Kowabunga.

Before we left we needed to check out the 4-D Dive-In Theater. None of us had ever seen a movie in 4-D, heck I didn’t even know they were a thing (I was missing out this whole time). 4-D takes 3-D and takes it to a whole knew level. You really feel like you are in the movie. So if you are there and have time, i really recommend checking it out.

The one other thing I wanted to mention, isn’t an attraction of the park but a very important topic. At a waterpark water safety is number one. Noah’s Ark take pride in how they train their staff. They don’t just hire and train onsite and call it good. They have their lifeguards trained by an outside company so that they get the best training possible. I observed the lifeguards while I was relaxing on the lounge chair and I have to say, I was so impressed. They watch the water like a hawk. They don’t take their eyes off their area. You can tell they are all trained well when you see 6 or more guards do the same routine at the same time. I felt very comfortable with my daughter out there even with her knowing how to swim well. You never know what can happen.

  1. That sounds like fun. I have always loved water parks. I'm not a fan of amusement parks in general but add water, and I'm there.
