My oldest daughter is 12, in the 7th grade and isn’t shy telling me what she likes and doesn’t like. While we were school shopping she made it very clear that she didn’t want regular pencils anymore. Her first preference are BIC Mechanical Pencils. I wasn’t really surprised and those are my favorite as well. So I was really excited when I was accepted into their #BICFightForYourWrite campaign.
Mya always liked to have those little cushion pad for her fingers when she wrote so when she saw BIC has ones that have them right on them she was really happy. It really helps her write better and is more comfortable for her fingers. Not only that, but i have noticed that her handwriting is so much better when she uses them versus without.
You would be surprised at how many styles there really are of pencils. Here are some the mechanical pencils that BIC has:

A great thing about BIC pencils is that kids of all ages can use them, even kids in kindergarten. The next time you are at the store, please go and check them out. I bet your kids will love them just as much as mine do (even my little one wants to write). To help her with her name I have just drawn dashes and let her connect them. It’s taking her a little time to get it, but she’s little so I know it doesn’t happen overnight.

I signed up. My son can't even write in cursive. I think they should all learn.
