The Green Eggs and Ham - Read & Learn APP

I’m pretty sure most of us have read “Green Eggs and Ham” when we were kids and probably have read it to your own kids. Oceanhouse Media has taken this classic book and made it come to life in a really fun app for kids ages 3 to 6. This app is currently exclusive for iOS for iPad and iPhones.  

My youngest just turned 3 so this is perfect for her. I wasn’t telling her I downloaded it but as soon as she heard the music her ears perked up and she came running over to check out what I was doing.

The app is very simple and easy to use. it goes through the story and lets kids read with it. Then the fun really starts. The animation is great and the child gets to find the stars hidden on the pages. Once they click on a start an activity pops up to help them learn but playing at the same time.

For example one of the stars asked Fallon to spell sam. of course an adult would think it was silly as the word is already spelled above but for a 3 year old it’s perfect. Fallon loved it and didn’t want to stop playing it.

There are no in app purchases so the $4.99 cost is all you are going to have to pay, which is nice. There are so many great apps out there that you end up paying so much for as every little thing cost something and it can add up fast.

If your child has school where they want you to track your child’s reading time the parents section of this app will help you do that, which is pretty cool in my book (yes pun intended.)
