Fashionable During Childbirth: Pretty Pushers

Childbirth is anything but pretty. Sure, the end result is magical, but the process is anything but. It does not help matters that pregnant women are stuffed into boxy gowns and pretty much expected to wear that for the duration of their visit, especially if they still have an IV or Foley in that is needed for whatever reason!

I received an amazing gown from Pretty Pushers called the 2 Tone Cape Sleeve Transition Gown. This gown is very pretty and great for labor and delivery. I know I will not be able to wear it initially though because I will be having a scheduled c-section and they have to keep things sterile, however, I am excited to be able to put this gown on when I get back to the room! It is amazingly high quality, and a thicker, nice material. It totally puts hospital gowns to complete shame! This gown is perfect for after you have the baby because it allows for skin to skin contacts and also breastfeeding, and opens in the back for epidural placement! It really is an all in one gown that you would be proud to be seen in when visitors come!

I am thrilled to have this gown and know that I will be photographed wearing this rather than the ugly, boxy hospital gown that is so standard. Those gowns are one size fits all, and worn by hundreds of patients. I am proud to have something that fits me, and is cleaned from my home! The gown also accommodates any stage of pregnancy as you can see. In this photo I am 37 weeks pregnant, and about ready to pop!
