When I was young I loved cars. I remember wanting the smallest fastest car, because we all know as soon as we turn 16 that’s what we get to drive (in our dreams). As I got older and became a mom, I slowly wanted a bigger and bigger car. It was more about comfort and space than it was about speed and small size. This coming week I get to spend some time in California with Kelley Blue Book learning about the best new cars for 2016.
We all look online when buying a computer, or new TV. We ask our friends and pour over countless websites finding deals and which is the best. We should be doing that for other big purchases as well, like cars. Kelley Blue Book is the site you really want to go to and it’s not just for seeing what the value of your current car is.
Kelley Blue Book has nominated the best cars of 2016 in each category like small car, midsize car, small SUV, electric/hybrid and more. Here is a glimpse at a few of the cars: Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford GT350, Mitsubishi Outlander. Go to KBB to see the other cars that were nominated.
“The awards are the culmination of a year-long regimen of expert vehicle evaluation and testing of nearly every new vehicle available in America, along with analysis of a broad swath of vehicle-related data, including pricing/transaction prices, 5-Year Cost-to-Own information (which includes depreciation, insurance, maintenance, financing, fuel, fees and taxes for new cars), consumer reviews and ratings, and vehicle sales information. “
Check back next week to see everything we did, learn and and what to look for when buying a new car.
One last thing… Go check out all the things they put inside the 2016 Ford F-150 while they were testing its payload capacity. They were using their imagination for sure.
