I love baby monitors, especially ones with video. I didn’t have one with my oldest who is 12 now. So having them with my youngest who is three is so much fun. D-Link has a HD pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Baby Camera that is truly awesome.
There are a ton of features in this camera, and i’ll get into that later. I wanted to point out one of my favorites. This has the option of recording. Not a new feature no, but as long as you have an SD card in, you can record. This saves on monthly cloud service bills.
Installing the camera is a piece of cake. you don’t have to charge anything up because it plugs into the wall. you do have to go through a few steps like linking it to your wifi and setting up an account, but that honestly only takes a few mins. As soon as that is done, you are ready to go.
Like I said above, I have a three year old. Sometimes she gets out of her bed and is playing when she should be laying down. It’s great that I’m able to control the camera from the app on my phone. Not only am I able to pan around the room, but I can tell her to get back into bed without having to get up. It’s also great for when i’m out of town and need to tell her to behave at bedtime. Talk about freaking her out the first time as I wasn’t even home. She’s like mama, you aren’t home. Too funny.
I have only used this feature once, pretty much just to see how it works. You can use 5 pre recorded lullabies and play them through the monitor.
Night vision is a must have for a video monitor since the majority of time you actually look at it is during the night. D-Link has done a great job and the video quality is just how I would want it.
I put ours on top of her dresser or on a shelf. If you want, you can also mount it on the wall. I just find setting it on the dresser is easier for us and we can move it around too if we need it.
You can buy HD Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Baby Camera at D-Link’s website or Amazon, Newegg, or Walmart. It’s about $230, which may seem like a lot, but the features that you get make it well worth the money

I really like D-Link products and have used them in my household for years now; my boys are past the age of needing a video monitoring device, but I wish I had this when they were little.
ReplyDeleteThis is so handy and seems easy to use. It's awesome that you can control it with your phone!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great invention! How many times have we had to get up and down when getting kids to bed? Saves me time and convenience
ReplyDeleteThis is just wonderful. I would have loved to have had one with my first. That first baby makes us psycho paranoid sometimes. This would have helped.
ReplyDeleteThe only D-link item we have experience with was a router and it was kinda blah. I will have to show my niece this item - with 3 little ones 5 and under it looks like a great item for her.
