When I think of Easter candy, I think of jellybeans and peeps, and of course chocolate, but i’m always thinking about chocolate. Peeps is just one of those candies that screams it’s Easter time! I love that over the years Peeps has branched out and has more flavors than ever.
There is a lot of sugar in Peeps, but if you can’t have sugar they also have sugar free options as well. They didn’t want people to miss out.
I’m pretty much a sucker for anything chocolate, so I figured my favorite would be the PEEPS® Chocolate Dipped Mousse Flavored Marshmallow Chicks, even though they were really good, I actually found the PEEPS® Sour Watermelon Flavored Marshmallow Chicks to be my favorite. They say sour, but I didn’t get a sour taste to them at all. They also didn’t taste like the other peeps. They are bigger so you will get 10 in a package.
PEEPS® Party Cake Flavored Marshmallow Chicks is a flavor that I haven’t had them before so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I can tell you that they really do smell like cake. My oldest daughter who doesn’t really like peeps smelled them and had to have one.
Now my husband was super excited when he saw the Hot Tamales jelly beans. I think he ate half the bag in one sitting. If you like the regular Hot Tamales, I bet you will love the jelly beans as well.
Jelly beans are my favorite when it comes to Easter candy (well second to chocolate) Mike and Ike makes ones that are oh so good. cherry, lemon, lime, pineapple and other flavors that other companies don’t have.
To see all the flavors of Peeps like PEEPS® Chocolate Dipped Mousse Flavored Marshmallow Chicks, PEEPS® PEEPSTERS®, PEEPS® Decorated Eggs and so many more go to their site. While you are there you can save 20% by using the code EASTERTREATS before April 15th. Even better you don’t have to have a min dollar amount when you order.

ReplyDeleteWe used to have a tradition of an Easter egg hunt at my mother's house, followed by dinner, a game for prizes that matched numbers in the eggs. Then the traditional grand prize the dime dip. A pan of dimes is put down, and you get one chance to get as many dimes in your hand as possible. My brother always would win because he had bigger hands. The one with the most dimes won the money. My brother would always have between 22.00-to 27.00 in dimes. My mothers grandchildren are grown, they have children in another state. But if I get the chance I will continue it someday, if they don't grow up before I get to see them.

Usually, it is just me and my husband for Easter. We have a ham dinner. This year we are doing it up right, just like we did when I was a kid. We have grandchildren and nieces and nephews coming. We will be hiding eggs, making baskets for the kids, and watching Here comes Peter Cottontail. When the kids get settled the adults will be watching "The Passion" which I recorded on DVD. Hosted by Tyler Perry. It's a modern day version of our Lord Jesus Rising from the Grave.
