This is our first spring in the desert of Arizona, so buying close is a little different. We came from Wisconsin, and am very used to it still being in the 30’s and if we are lucky high 50’s. 80 is definitely a shock for us, but the nights cool off fast. Later this month we are spending a few days in Phoenix so I have to start planning especially with two kids. Thank goodness Oshkosh B’gosh has some of the cutest clothes. I think this will be the warmest spring break we have ever had.
Packing and preparing with a three year old helping can be a daunting task, or you can make it fun. Here are a few tips that I do.
- Have them pick out their favorite stuffed animal and books.
- Have them help you fold and pack the suitcase.
- Always pack extra. Remember that they are toddlers and get dirty fast. It’s better to have too many clothes packed than not enough.
We go on little weekend trips a lot with our girls and having them help in the process seems to go a lot smoother, especially with Fallon.
When we went to Oshkosh B’gosh Fallon made a run for the swimming suits. With so many to chose from she wasn’t sure but finally decided on the zebra pattern and of course matching flip flops!!!
Knowing Phx will be warm, we wanted to get some shorts and tanks, short sleeve shirts etc. I love that the prices are great so we can get a lot of clothes for a reasonable amount of money. OshKosh has such great kids fashion that they will look good no matter what they choose.

Great idea to have kids help pick out their clothes. They are invested in them that way.
