Get Little Ones Moving More Naturally with Little Balance Box!

We are at the super fun stage of development for my daughter that she is pulling up on everything! I cannot believe we are already here, because she was just yesterday!?! But alas, she is eight months old, and crawling all over the house, and will be walking in a blink! I call her my little grasshopper because of the spastic way she maneuvers! She is just so cute, and I love that the Little Balance Box helps her along with her balance and motor skills.

This little innovation was created by a physical therapist who saw problems with both seated and push walkers. The seated ones do not allow proper movements that train the body to walk correctly, and the push ones often are awkward and have handles that are too high. She then created the little balance box, and I have so say I am happy she did.

At first look, it looks like a pretty basic little table, or stool. As you can see, the princess was not sure exactly what to do with it, but once I showed her that this was something she could stand at, and even toddler around while pushing, she seemed to really love it! She is not entirely steady in the role as a beginner walker though, so she has plopped on her butt pretty often, but The Little Balance Box has helped her gain some confidence in that area. While it does allow some "slippage" to happen so that it can be pushed, it is not overly fast moving which is great for those beginners like the princess! She can put her hands on it, or lean on it. Basically this can be used in a variety of ways, and she can use it to scoot along in whatever way she sees fit! It provides for much more natural movements!! As a pediatric nurse, whom has spent the majority of her career working with medically fragile children, I cannot stress enough the importance of allowing your kids to make natural movements and not to hold them back from natural development with the overuse of  the many "devices" on the market! The Little Balance Box is so perfectly natural for little ones, and is definitely highly recommended by me!

Another great things about the Little Balance Box is that is can be used as a little table while seated, so it is perfect for  babies to toddler. I can see this being used for snacks when princess is a little older and watching television. I highly recommend this for babies around 6 months to probably two years because it has multiple uses and functions! I really love it, and it is is so small and compact that it takes up very little space.

As you can see from the look on her face, this product is also princess approved!

  1. I think it's cute and simple. Just right to help them walk.
