I can’t believe that it’s back to school time already. My oldest daughter starts this week (July 27th). This is our second year starting in July and it’s still so strange, but we go with it. We are a big music family, and my oldest loves it just as much as I do. She loves listening to music everywhere. Headphones are great but sometimes you want to share it with more than just you and that’s when you need a good speaker. Harman is known for their sound and JBL by Harman made a small Bluetooth speaker called the JBL Clip 2.
Don’t be fooled by this speaker being small. It packs a punch for sound and can fill a room. Plus has 8 hours of listening/play time. The first thing JBL did was make this waterproof. We all know teens are around water all the time and we know how easy things can get dropped. Now we don’t have to worry about it getting ruined.
The second feature is the upgraded carabiner clip. This clip lets you attached to pretty much anything like you pant loops or the perfect spot; backpack. It is small enough that it won’t get in the way.
The speaker is Bluetooth, but if for some reason your bluetooth device isn’t working right or you don’t have it with you, you can still plug it in with the aux audio cord that is attached. I think this was such a smart feature. A lot of speakers have the port option, but not many have it already attached and have a place to coil it up and keep it from getting tangled.
The last feature I wanted to point out is that the Clip 2 has a built in microphone. This means that you can also use the speaker for phone calls, not just for listening to music.
I took the Clip 2 on a trip recently and loved how portable it really is. I didn’t have the space for a big speaker and this was perfect. The quality was great. In the hotel we could hear it throughout the entire suite without having to take it with us.
There are many color choices to choose from so you will have something for everyone. This speaker, is perfect for back to school for pretty much any age. I know my 13 year old is planning on “stealing” it from me as school starts.
