Epson Eco Tank All-in-One Printer

I love technology, electronics and playing with new gadgets. Back to school is always a fun time for me as new products come out and I get to tell you about them. Epson sent me their Expression ET-2550 Eco Tank All-in-One Printer and I have to say, it’s really impressive.

This is the first printer I have had, that used ink in a bottle and not cartridges. I thought it would be messy, but I was wrong (well, I’m sure it can get messy, but use gloves and be super careful). The ink reserve is on the side of the printer, which makes it super easy to reach and add to when needed. I’ll be honest, it was a little weird to put the ink in myself, but after looking at it, I will get more out of it this way. The printer uses all the ink, and as it gets low I just add more. Therefore, no wasting anything. Plus, it really is cheaper overall. Each ink bottle is about $13 give or take. You will get about 4000 black/6500 color pages. I have never seen that many pages being able to be printed from that little bit of ink. I was really impressed with that.

I love that after I plugged it in, set it up (only took a few minutes), it was ready to go. I tested it by printing off my phone. No issues, and printed right away. I’m on my phone all the time and I love that I can just hit print and it works, especially when it comes to photos.

The Eco Tank senses when you put new paper in and asks what size. I like that, this way you don’t print on the wrong paper. I often switch back and forth from photo paper to regular paper, this is a good feature for me.

  •                     Built-in wireless – print from tablets and smartphones
  •                     Includes Wi-Fi Direct – wireless printing without a network
  •                     Easy setup and control – 1.44" color LCD
  •                     Print photos, PC-free – built-in card slot
  •                     Product protection you can count on – two-year limited warranty with registration
  •                     Small size, great performance – save space at your home or small office

Most printers come with just a little bit of ink. Pretty much enough to get you through a few print jobs. The EcoTank comes with all 4 full bottles of ink like I mentioned above. That’s enough for 2 years worth of ink (depending on how much you print of course).

It looks big, but it does fit nicely into a corner or on a desk. This printer will last your student a long time and is perfect for the cramped dorm rooms. You can buy right from Epson’s site, or click on the “where to buy” for places like Best Buy, Walmart, Staples and more stores.

  1. This does sound nice! I haven't been using a printer, especially a color printer, for a long time. There are so many occasions that I want one, I'm checking this out!
