OOFOS is a lifesaver for my husband with Achilles Repair Surgery!

My poor husband tore his Achilles tendon and had to have surgery to repair and his other Achilles is partially ruptured because of chronic bone spurs and tendonitis. When I was thinking of his recovery and making him more comfortable, one company popped in my head. OOFOS. I reviewed Oofos years ago, and loved them. I felt like I was walking on clouds, so I knew it would help him too! I was actually surprised to see that they have now built a name for themselves as recovery footwear and are known for helping with plantar fascitis so I knew it would be great for him too!

These awesome shoes reduce shock, absorb stress and enables natural motion which is going to be very helpful for my husband for a while after surgery. He is a nurse pracitioner, and even though he is going to be on a knee scooter for a while, he will be back to walking in a while. He is all over the facilities and he really needs something to help him develop his natural gate back, and OOFOS will do just that.

OOFOS sent my husband a pair to wear now casually while he is recovering called the OOahh sport slide sandal and he loves these! He can just slide it on his good foot and be comfortable. They really allow him to have SOME comfort while he is hobbling around on crutches. They also sent the OOahh Clog when he returns to work. These are amazing shoes for him longterm because they are solid on top so they are easily contaminated, they are just as comfortable as other OOFOS shoes, and they look professional under a pair of black or khaki pants. Totally a win win!

I recommended OOFOS long before my hubby had these issues but I recommend them even more now! They are amazing shoes for anyone suffering any kind of foot problems!

  1. Those do look like comfortable shoes. Sorry he's having to hobble around until he heals.

  2. A complete Get Well Soon from my family to yours.... The tearing of an ACL has been done within my family though I was injured in a car & pedestrian accident (by an uninsured driver) and diagnosed with a condition known as RSD! A prayer that your family will heal soon and I ask that prayers be said for my upcoming appointment!

Those shoes look a little out of my budget but would maybe one day afford a pair!

  5. Those do look very comfortable. They would have been really nice to have at the time I was healing from a broken foot a couple of years ago. I never could get the hang of crutches so instead I used my mom's old walker. Yeah, I felt like an old lady with a walker hopping on foot. lol...Anyways these shoes would have given my "good" foot more support since it was taking all my weight as well as helped me get around after the cast was taken off.

I hope for a speedy recovery!
