VTech Cordless Phone System with Wireless Monitoring System

I know most people are using only cell phones now, but there are still good reasons to have a home phone. We got rid of our home line, but when we moved to AZ last year we put it in again, for a better sense of security, and I’m so glad we did. VTech has come out with a new Smart Cordless Phone System that has Wireless Monitoring System with Cordless Telephone and Open/Closed and Garage Door Sensors.

I remember putting similar sensors on my toddler’s door so I could hear if she opened it (especially at night). VTech took that concept but made it so much better. Now you can connect the sensors to your phone and get notified.

For this phone you can put a sensor on any door it also includes a garage door sensor. Since each door is a little different, VTech included a few different size adapters to attach to the sensor. This makes it fit easier and work better for you.

The sensors are super easy to install. They come with batteries in them already for you. So all you have to do is screw them in or use the double sided tape (included) to attach.

When the garage door opens or the door (you can put on the front door as well), it sends an alert to the phone telling you the door is open. We aren’t always home so, with the monitoring system, you can have it call any number and send you an alert that way as well. This way if you are gone, you know if someone accessed your house. The more I thought of this, the better I like it, especially for older kids. You can use it for curfew and know if they got home on time or make sure they got home from after school.

It may seem like a silly feature, but caller ID announce is so great for me. I’m disabled and can’t get up quickly, so knowing who is calling is great. That way I can ignore if I want to and not have to go look who it was later.

Other features:
  • Push-to-talk
  • Digital answering system
  • Digital answering system voice guide
  • Expandable up to 5 cordless handsets or up to 400 sensors
  • Call screening
  • Call intercept
  • Remote access
  • Message retrieval from handset
  • Message time and date stamp
  • Large backlit base display
  • Compatible with VTech models IS6100 DECT 6.0 cordless headset and MA3222 Bluetooth speakerphone, and AT&T model TL80133 DECT 6.0 speakerphone
  • Intercom between handsets and base unit
  • Conference between an outside line and up to 2 cordless handsets
  • And more!

I’m so happy with this phone. So many features, and then there is their security options. If you are shopping around for a new cordless home phone, I would give VTech’s Wireless Monitoring System with Cordless Telephone and Open/Closed and Garage Door Sensors a look.

  1. I do have a landline and like the caller announce feature. It doesn't do as much as this one.

  6. I have always kept a home phone because it is more likely to work in some situations than cells do. I also keep one corded phone plugged in so in case the power goes out and cells are out. This is definitely worth looking into getting.

  8. Oh I love this, we have turned around so many times to make sure we shut the door. This is great, I'm going to talk to my husband about this. We still have a landline, we don't have the greatest cell phone service because of where we live. Thanks so much for sharing with us.

  13. Wireless portable headphones are mainly used for people on the go that like to listen to music and watch videos on their smartphones while commuting to and from work, 10 roars

  14. Another feature some models provide is the ability to have up to four pairs of wireless headphones listening to one source (transmitter).
