Makeup Options for the Everyday Use

I have always loved makeup and now having two girls, I try and set a good example on what and how to wear it. My 14 year old doesn’t love it as much as me, but I’m sure that will change soon. I recently tried a few new brands and one has become my must have and can’t do my makeup with out it.

Primer is really important when doing makeup. It helps set prepare your skin and smooths everything out before you put on any foundation. Finding one that’s perfect for you may take a few brands. For me, Jordana is amazing. It’s super light weight and I don’t have that greasy feeling before I put anything else on. I not only use the face primer, but also the eye primer (eye makeup is my favorite of all).

As I mentioned, eye makeup is my favorite. Jordana also makes liquid eye liner. Now, I’m more of a black lover when it comes to liner. With that said, I love the blue eye liner. It’s the perfect shade and just gives a little boldness. I have always used a liquid liner, so I’m very used to it and what I prefer. If you don’t want blue, they do have black as well.

Speaking of liquid eye makeup, Jordana also has liquideyeshadow. I love this as it’s bold and so easy to apply. It’s like putting on lipstick. What’s even better, you don’t need to have a separate brush or clean it. It’s an all in one and dries super fast.

If you prefer the more traditional powder eye makeup then I suggest you check out Mineral Fusion and their Enchanted Eye Palette. I like bold colors, but love this palette. It’s subdued and perfect for adding a little depth, or for those days that I don’t want to be so bold. They are also formulated with healthy ingredients like Green Tea and Vitamins C & E. I’m not sure I have ever had shadow with Vits C & E! You can of course purchase on Mineral Fusion, but also Whole Foods!

The last product is for your lips. I have seen a lot of companies say it lasts for x number of hours. Some are correct while some I have questioned. Milani Cosmetics has Amore Matte Metallic Lip Cream. If you want something that stays on, easy to apply and is kiss proof (my husband can testify), then you should take a look at these. There is a shade for just about anyone and their taste and being waterproof, it can last for up to 16 hours.
