Give the Gift of a Pilot Pen

I’m sure you have a pen that you love so much that you are just praying it is magic and never runs out of ink. I know I have one, that writes amazing every time. I think that’s the only pen that I guard like nothing else. Otherwise, I lose pens like there is no tomorrow, no joke. My kids tease me all the time because besides asking them to do something, I’m always asking where a pen is. It’s almost comical. I never really gave much thought to pen quality until my husband came home from a health convention in Chicago and brought home a ton of pharm pens (you know what I’m talking about). After that, I really noticed a difference. Since then I can only do the good ones. Pilot Pen are one of those companies that make some of the best options around.

Don’t laugh (I can hear some of you laughing). These pens are no joke. They take style and comfort into play, not just the ink.  MR Retro Pop Collection is one of the styles I have fallen in love with, so much so, that I use it for my planner. It’s priced at under $20 and comes in 5
different colors from purple (my favorite), silver, gold, orange and black. The ink doesn’t bleed or clump, and writes super smooth, hence I like it for my planner. I use it daily and I need to keep it “clean”, so I know what I’m doing and when. What’s even better, is that you can refill the ink instead of just needing to buy a whole new pen!.

If you like the look of a fountain pen, then this one is for you. It has a very similar price point as the metro ball point at under $20. This fountain pen comes in 6 colors and are grey, purple, red, orange, green and turquoise. Also, much like the ball point, you can refill the ink. One of the cool things, is that you can select if you want a fine point, or if you want a medium point. I was a little surprised on how well this pen felt and wrote. I was expecting to have to press harder down. I don’t know why, it was just in my mind. To me, this is a great pen for someone with a very gentle touch. My mom comes to mind, as I think she has the most perfect penmanship I have ever seen. Not only that, but as gifts go, it’s nice and comes in a very nice gift box.

Pilot wants to make sure everyone in the house has something to write with and has made these really cool pens called FriXion ColorSticks. The look cool, but the best feature is that they are erasable. I remember having erasable pens as a kid was super cool. I love that they are bringing them back. You can get them in packs of 5, or 10 if you want even more ink colors that range from black to red, purple, pink, yellow and more. For under $10 (5 pack) or under $20 (10 pack), these make for a great gift.
All of these options you can buy right from the Pilot Pen site, or Amazon Prime and have them in just 2 days.

  3. I am super picky when it comes to pens. If I don't have a good one then my writing is awful. Yes, I am blaming my writing utensil not the fact I write too fast. I find these ball point pens are perfect. I will have to try this.

  13. I also have a hard time finding a pen when I need it. Like you say, mine seem to run out of ink in the middle of using it.

  15. I think I'm a pen addict lol I like fine point pens the best. I know that sometimes I need a firmer point though so this would be nice to have and not run out of ink! Thank you for sharing :)

  16. I am always writing so I understand what it is to have a good pen. I love something that can come out fluidly but easy for me to hold. I have written with a fountain pen before and I love how they come out especially if you want something special and handmade.

  20. I always need a pen. It's not that I don't have a bunch, it's that if one is laying by my computer, one of the cats is always stealing it. I find them under the couch, the dining room table, under chairs. For them it's the greatest thing to play with. And yes, I'm picky. I hate pens that run out of ink or won't write. Cheap pens are just that. So I buy a few good pens & hide them :)
