Women’s Choice Award for 2017 America’s Best Hospitals for Heart Care

We have all put symptoms into google, and sometimes good things don’t come up.  Even I have been guilty of doing so even though I try not to. On the flip side, it can give you some great information like America’s Best Hospitals for Heart Care. Recently the Women’s Choice Award (WCA) compiled the best hospitals for Heart Care in the US. If you have many health issues like I do, or at least heart issues, then you will find this list very compelling.

It is important to me that my children always receive the best care – from the medicine they take to the doctors they see, I’m the one who is doing the research to find out who is the best. Women’s Choice Award works to connect women with the best of everything from pet care to financial services, helping to raise the standard of what is expected from a variety of businesses and organizations. Women’s Choice Award knows that women account for 90% of all healthcare decisions for her and her family. Per WCA “Our methodology is unique in that it is the only national list that simplifies a woman’s choice when selecting a hospital. Our understanding of what matters most to women when selecting a hospital is based on surveys of tens of thousands of women, as well as research conducted in partnership with the Wharton School of Business on what drives the consumer experience for women vs. men. This research led us to understand that we cannot separate clinical performance from patient experience. Furthermore, all of the methodologies below take into consideration the female recommendation rating based on patient feedback.”

Like, I said above, I have many health issues, Hyper-POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), and at times I need to see a good Cardiologist. I have traveled to other states to be seen by specialists. I trust WCA and will be looking at the hospitals on their list if/when I need to be seen.

Here are a few on the list (and in no particular order):
CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial (M) in Lufkin, TX

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian- Newport Beach, CA

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center- Hartford, CT

To see more on the list, visit WCA’s list here. You can also narrow it down to your state if you choose and they list the best there as well. I love this feature, for those who can’t go to other states due to insurance or other reasons. WCA really did think of it all and really wants to help women find the best care for them and for their family.
You never know when you will need to use a heart care hospital, but when you do, you want to find the best.
