Best Buy has Chromcast Audio

Bluetooth and wifi enabled speakers are a big thing right now. I’m sure most of us still have a speaker or two that aren’t “smart”. Chromecast Audio takes new technology and incorporates it with “old” technology. Basically, this means you can turn your speaker into a wifi speaker with the help of their Chromcast Audio device.

One thing to remember is make sure the Chromcast is plugged in to an outlet (micro USB and plugin adaptor are provided). After that you just need to download the app and follow the onscreen instructions. It only took me a few minutes and it was up and running.
Once you are done, you are ready to listen to some music. Right now, Chromecast Audio supports apps like Spotify, Pandora, iHeart Radio, Google Play, and more. Plus, there are more and more apps being supported every day. Since Chromcast Audio is connected with wifi, it has better quality than Bluetooth.

Other features:

  • Cast music from your phone, tablet or computer (Pair with your Apple® iPhone® or iPad®, Android phone or tablet, Mac or Windows laptop or Chromebook.)
  • Multiroom audio (Lets you play music throughout your home. Group Chromecast audio devices together so you can listen to the same song on multiple speakers.)
  • High-speed wireless connectivity (Built-in 2.4GHz/5.0GHz 802.11ac Wi-Fi connects to the Internet through your wireless home network (wireless router required and sold separately).

Of course you can buy this at one of my favorite stores Best Buy in person or online. They run for around $35 each, so very affordable. At this price you can get a few and take advantage of the multi-room audio feature they have.
Head over there today and if you do get one, please let me know what you think.
