Kodak PIXPRO az252 Digital Camera

I take thousands of photos with my phone camera, but there are times when I need to have something better. I recently received the Kodak Pixpro AZ252 Digital Camera to test out. My 14 year old daughter Mya, fell in love with it and wanted to help me test it out. When my kids show interest in what I do, how can I say no? So of course, I let her help me.

The Kodak Pixpro az252 is a great camera to get even if you are on a budget, as it’s only $149.99! It’s not bulky, so you don’t need a huge bag for it. Per Mya “This is one of my favorite features on this camera, With 720p HD video you don’t have to make everyone you’re taking a pictures of hold their pose, you can now capture it all with one-touch record!” Also, per Mya “this feature is great for people who love to travel, with its 16 megapixels and 25x optical zoom lets you see everything clear and up close without having to get actually get that close which is great if you in the mountains and see a bear but you don’t want to make it mad or disturb it.” Yes, we live in the mountains, but not sure if i want to be even that close to a bear (would be a great photo though).

We both love that when it comes to the  24mm wide angle lens you can take a family photo without having people get on top of each other or having to move the camera so far back you can’t see anyone. Now you can take a picture of the family and still have plenty of room to spare.

The other feature that is great is the OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) which you might think oh my phone can take those pictures, but they don’t come out looking as good as you thought. With this if you in the car or you can’t seem to get your hands to stop shaking this is perfect for you, because even with all that shaking the picture will still turn out as clear as it could be.

Lastly,  I wanted to make sure everyone realized how easy it is to use even with all the features. You turn it on, focus and press the button. You don’t have to hold it down or anything. This makes it even better when explaining it to someone else when you want them to take a picture for you (we have all spent more time explaining how to use it to someone than it took to take the picture).

This would make for a perfect Christmas present for someone looking for a new camera or a teen starting out in photography. Mya has actually taken it from me to keep as her own, so I guess it’s an early Merry Christmas to her.
