Use Code TOP1718 to Save $25 on Florida Prepaid Enrollment!

Did you make a New Years resolution this year? Did you know that only 8% of resolutions are kept each year? Let me tell you one resolution that you can easily keep this year...to provide financial security for your child in the future! Is this intriguing enough? It is really pretty simple, visit Florida Prepaid and use the code TOP1718 to save some $25 off of the enrollment on a prepaid college account for your little one. It will only take you about 10-15 minutes to sign up. The earlier you start the easier it will be for you to pay for their college, and you will be locked in at todays pricing plans, when it is a really possibility the tuition rates may go up as much as according to CNBC.com, a college education in 18 years could cost as much as $500,000! Right now, the average cost of college is somewhere around $50,000. I'm not sure about you, but paying 10% sounds like the way to go to me, even if it means making a few sacrifices now. We are not rich people but we currently have our three kids signed up for Florida Prepaid. We currently are paying for each child to get one year at the university, and we will add to that as we get each year paid off.

Though it may be a small sacrifice now..... a season pass to a theme park or a new top of the line toy, I know one day looking back, we will be so incredibly thankful that we made the decision to go with Florida Prepaid. My kids will not remember all the toys they have, but they will remember that Mom and Dad were able to pay for their college tuition and got them started into adulthood on the right foot! There are so many plans and options that it is easy to pick an affordable option to fit your budget. As I mentioned, we are currently doing the One Year Florida Prepaid plan for each of my kids. Here is a little more about the most affordable option which is taken directly from the Florida Prepaid website:

"The 1-Year Florida University Plan is our most flexible plan to date. With an array of options, you can better control how your plan works best for you going forward. You can choose to buy one year at a time, and others can help by purchasing plans for your student at times you see fit. And, as always, the amount covered by this plan can also be applied to other schools nationwide. Also, other important flexibility considerations include:
  • The most affordable Prepaid Plan to fit your budget. The 1-Year Florida University Plan can be purchased in incremental years and allows for multiple plan purchasers.
  • If the child receives a scholarship, such as Bright Futures, the amount covered by the 1-Year Florida University Plan, not just what you paid in, can be refunded or used to pay for tuition and fees not covered by the scholarship.
  • If the child moves out of Florida, the child remains eligible for in-state tuition and fees at a Florida College or State University while using his/her 1-Year Florida University Plan.
  • The child has 10 years from the projected enrollment year selected on the application to use his/her 1-Year Florida University Plan."

Even if you think you cannot afford it, check out the website, fill out the forms and ask questions! You might be surprised at just how affordable it truly is!
