I’ve been trying to do more toy reviews that have to do with
imagination play than screen time. Don’t get me wrong, I love my electronics
and my kids do as well, but sometimes it’s good to have a break and do
something a little more low key. ReadySetz may be what you are looking for if
you kiddo loves to imagination, put on little skits, etc.
We were recently sent the Space Base, which is perfect as Dan’s
son Canon is obsessed with space. He even got him a NASA backpack this year for
school. So when I saw this, I knew he would love it.
It does take up a bit of room, but only when set up. That’s
the really neat part. When the kids aren’t using it, just fold it flat and
store it. It really is that easy to fold and set up, as it’s already set up for
you. I mean, how many 3D toys like this come fully assembled?
The Space Base is made from cardboard, but not some
inexpensive cardboard. This is 100% recyclable, durable and can hold up to 100
pounds!
There are two different sizes, small, which runs $65 and
large which runs $95. Don’t let the price scare you away as you are getting a
great product for your money. This is great quality that will last (even if the
kiddos are a little rough on it).
If space isn’t your kid’s thing, take a look at the UrbanPlayset, it even has has roof elements that convert
to a catwalk or a helipad.
