Being a mom of two very busy kids, so between them and my own appointments, I feel like I live in my car. I thought during the school year was bad, the summer is about 10 times worse. I don’t think there has been a day yet that we aren’t on the go. When you are on the run so much you need a very safe and reliable car, or you need to know how to get to where you are going. That’s where good research comes into play. My friends at Kelley Blue Book have launched this amazing website called Ride.tech that will give you all the information you need about auto and tech news.
A lot of times when we travel we take my car but then park
it at the hotel and leave it there. Then we do a lot of ridesharing ie Uber/Lyft.
I mean who wants to spend part of your vacation driving around looking for
parking spaces figuring out mapquest, making wrong turns (you know you do it)
when you can simply use technology and get a ride? Since Looking at Ride.Tech there is a lot of tips on not only
how to stay safe but insights on the technology as well.
Kelley Blue Book is constantly searching for the best
cars on the market. Ride.Tech isn’t just about buying new cars and used cars,
it’s so much more than that. Ride.Tech was created to give you the consumer as
much information about cars, and technology as they could. I’m talking,
self-driving cars, electric cars, services like Uber and Lyft, and awesome new
technology with mobility lifestyle. With that I do want to share one article
that is about buying cars, just to showcase an example of what you can find on
the website.
Most people think of Hybrids and electric cars as being
really expensive, I know I did but these are 5best used hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric vehicles under $10,000:
2011-2012 Chevrolet Volt
2013-2014
Ford C-Max Energi PHEV
2012-2014
Honda Civic Hybrid
2011-2012
Lincoln MKZ Hybrid
2011-2013
Toyota Prius
In the article it states that the IIHS named the Lincoln
MKZ a “Top Safety Pick” in both 2011 and 2012,
and at the time of its debut, the MKZ Hybrid led its class in fuel
economy.
I love technology, it’s one of my favorite topics, and my
kids can agree that I probably have way too many gadgets. So it’s surprising
that I don’t have a car with more technology. I’m really loving Ride.Tech and how they have all the articles
easily accessible. They are also helping me weed through a possible future car
for me which may or may not be a good thing for my check book.
