BunkTrunk Keeps your Valuables safe in College

Have you ever been in a dorm? If you, do you remember how tiny they were? Not only are they small, privacy and security are a big issue. BunkTrunk is a company that has come up with a way to store your valuables and to maximize on limited space. While we don’t live in a dorm, we do have kids in the house that like privacy. So I was excited when they agreed to send us the Masters to check out.

There are three different models right now: Bachlors, Masters and PhD. All three come with the basic and then as you go up with your degree you get more features.

Standard
The bachelor includes:
Price $219

  • A digital keypad lock to secure your gear
  • A USB cable to power your lock in case your batteries die
  • Bunkenstocks (stabilizing feet)

The Masters includes:
Price $249
Extended legs

  • A digital keypad lock to secure your gear
  • A power strip with USB ports for charging your gear
  • A USB cable to power your lock in case your batteries die
  • Bunkenstocks (stabilizing feet)

The PhD includes:
Price $279
  • A digital keypad lock to secure your laptop and valuables
  • A power strip with USB ports for charging your gear
  • An LED light for late night studying
  • A bluetooth speaker for music and movies
  • A USB cable to power your lock in case your batteries die
  • Bunkenstocks (stabilizing feet)

Setting up was very easy as everything you need is right there in the box. We did watch the video on how to set up just in case (we do that for almost everything if we can as I learn better that way). If you don’t want to watch the video, you don’t have to as the instructions are great. When it comes to setting up the lock part make sure you take it nice and slow. It is really easy, but you don’t want to do it wrong.

There is a blinking light that will alert you that the battery is getting low. If the battery would die before you have a chance to change them you can plug it in with a micro USB and still use the keypad. BunkTrunk really did think of everything there which is really cool in my book.

The quality of the wood is great and I can tell it will hold up for a very long time as long as you take care of it.

I highly recommend getting any college kid a BunkTrunk who is in a dorm or anyone with roommates really as it can fit under your bed as well and keep your valuables safe.

  1. I can see where the Bunktrunk wou9ld be very useful for any college student that had a roommate or lots of guests. It'd also be great for kids who have siblings that "borrow" things they shouldn't.

  13. I think boys are going to dig this a lot. Not that because they have a lot of stuff to hide but boys like to treasure. This looks perfect.

  17. I've never heard of BunkTrunk but I can see why this is so useful for any student. Our son in college would like this and would be great for a small room too because the size is not overwhelming.

  18. This is brilliant for new college kids. I was lucky not to have to share my tiny dorm room but others around the country might not be as lucky.
