Keiki Ukulele Teaches Kids Music

There is almost always music playing in my house in one form or another. When I was 10, I learned how to play the piano and my love for music took off from there and I learned 6 more instruments after that. I want my kids if they choose of course to have every opportunity they can to play instruments and learn what they love. That’s why when I heard about Keiki Ukulele’s there was no way, I was saying no.

A little not well-known fact about the Ukulele is that it doesn’t originate from Hawaii. It was actually brought over from Portuguese and made from two different instruments, the braguinha and the cavaquino.

A classic song played on the ukulele is “somewhere over the rainbow”. More recently in 2008 Jason Mraz used it in his song “I’m yours” and spent 76 weeks on Billboards hot 100 charts. Jason is a great example to show kids that this instrument can be fun.

Unlike a guitar the ukulele has four strings. It’s known for the notes G, C, E and A.

The KeiKi Ukulele is designed for kids, preferably ages 5 and up. It’s a perfect way for them to lean music and just to have fun.

Choose from four colors: Sandalwood, Sunset Red, Seafoam Green and Pacific Blue

Inside you get everything you need. The following:

electronic tuner
a carry case
a learn-to-play guidebook
one strap
4 retro stickers
2 picks.

These are made very well and for $29.95 this is an amazing deal. I can’t wait for Fallon to learn how to play it so she can have even more fun.

If you guys love music or your little ones do, I highly recommend checking these Ukuleles out as they will make for a great Christmas present.

  6. I really want my grandchildren to learn to play a musical instrument. It is my grandson who shows some musical talent (he can carry a tune very well!). I think this ukelele would be a good start up musical instrument for him.
